Support an Auburn Green New Deal!

The Placer County Hub of the Sunrise Movement, a group of young people dedicated to fighting climate change, has submitted a climate emergency resolution to the Auburn City Council. Titled the 'Auburn Green New Deal', the resolution will appear on the Council's agenda in February. You can find the text of the resolution here.
The ambitious resolution calls on Auburn's city assets to utilize 100% renewable energy by 2025 and for the entire city to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Tell the Auburn City Council you support the Auburn Green New Deal, along with community leaders, local residents, and the climate movement, as a path toward creating local jobs while ending climate change! You can also contact us at sunriseplacer@gmail.com.

The Sunrise Movement will be working to pass a climate emergency resolution that sets clear targets for the City of Auburn to fight climate change while creating new local jobs in the process.
