Bloomington: Adopt, don't shop

Sign the petition today to tell Delilah's Pet Store and Anthony's Pets to stop selling cats and dogs, encouraging them to work with rescues and animal shelters to place homeless animals.

Nearly 5,000 animals come to the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter each year, many of which are from Delilah's and Anthony's Pets. Bloomington and Monroe County, stand up against backyard breeding, puppy mills and the antiquated business of pet stores. Our animals and community deserve better.
We the undersigned as animal advocates and community members urge you to stop selling puppies and kittens at your store. By selling puppies and kittens you are supporting puppy mills, backyard breeders and the inherent cruelties of such operations while contributing to the overpopulation crisis.

Our community believes in the humane treatment of all animals and we feel that by changing your business model you will be demonstrating more ethical business practices and compassion for animals.

There are thousands of homeless animals in our community that need our help. Please work for them and not with backyard breeders and puppy mills.

Thank you for taking the time to read our position and we hope you will consider our position.
