this petition is not meant to be sent, just a wake up.  We in the modern world have become obsessed with buying things.  So we work more, helping us to buy more.  And we spend, rather than save.  2010 is the year of change.  Lets start by not just throwing stuff away.  Recycle things, and take things to the thrift store, and sell them, on Craigslist or Ebay.   Throwing stuff away is the easy way out, and it only clutters the landfill.  Go to your storage unit and take it all to the thrift store, or sell it. It is costing you every month.  Clear out that garage, so you can park your car in there again.  Clean up your room, and minimize what you have so can clear your energy.  Then after everything is cleared out down to what you really need.  Get active, and work less.  Stop buying things.  Get involved in world issues, and get out into the street to speak your mind.
