An American Apology

"On behalf of the majority of Americans, we apologize to the Iraqi people, and the world community, for illegally and fraudulently invading a country which posed no threat to our national security, for the vast destruction of property, for the loss of countless human lives, for the disruption of society and subsequent political and social chaos, and for our government which has abandoned and betrayed the values which American democracy has traditionally stood for."
