The Korean Government has a policy of forcibly removing Citizens passports and Cancelling their Citizenship if they gain second citizenship in another country. All major western governments recognize the right to hold dual citizenship. Korea should move into the modern world and allow the same fundamental rights for Korean Citizens.
The Shame of Korea.
If a Korean man goes to America and gains citizenship and then war breaks out on the Korean Peninsular, should he come home and fight, or should he say “I am no longer Korean, let the Government fight”?
If a Korean woman goes to Australia and gains citizenship, when her parents grow old and frail, should she come home and tend them, or should she say “I am no longer Korean, let the Government care for them”?
If a Korean student goes to Britain and gains citizenship, when there is a national dress day, should the student say “I am no longer Korean, let someone else display their culture”?
This is what the Korean Government is saying when it forces Korean Citizens to hand back their passports and renounce their Korean Citizenship.
“You are no longer Korean, we don’t want you any more.”
Millions of Koreans live all over the world and are valuable supporters of Korean families, Korean culture and Korean products. They are proud to recognize their heritage and yet the Government of Korea shamefully treats them as criminals, forcefully removing their passports and Korean Nationality.
It is a national disgrace that targets innocent people who have never committed a crime and who want in their very soul to keep their citizenship and cultural heritage.
The Korean Government should be told by the people to stop persecuting innocent Koreans and return their Citizenship, Passports and Dignity.

It is a shameful situation and every Korean Politician should be made to share in the shame that they are inflicting on innocent people.
Please pass this letter on to all Koreans, it is important that this Shame of Korea be repealed and our families be allowed to come home as Korean Citizens.
