Boycott Chiquita and McDonald's

          Dear Governmental Officials and Concerned Citizens:
    I am very concerned about the documentary Life and Debt and the way that United States owned mega corporations are using money to pressure the United States government and such economic bodies as the IMF and WTO to eliminate local competition in poor areas and to look the other way as they set up their major corporation that ignore local laws andn abuse innocent workers. My friends, I am sad to say I watched a news cast from Hondouras in which owners of a Chiquita Banana plantation SHOT at strikers, killing 23, and literally forcing the workers back to their jobs at gun point. This is all because these mega companies go into poor areas where the laws are lax and they can pay off any objectors. They sell their goods for much cheaper than local people can because they save money by abusing workers. The kill the local economy and slowly their interest grows and the people are trapped in debt and controlled with no way out because no one will listen. Please join me in petitioning the government to make laws that mega companies must be controlled by even in other countries and to tell them we want them to stop looking the other way at these horrible, flagrant violations of human rights! Please pledge to boycott the major companies like Chiquita and McDonald's to put pressure on them to stop their behavior. The government may be looking the other way now, but we, the consumers have a voice and promise to talk with our money. They must not look the other way!
