Bring your dog out to eat? Support Michigan HB 5139

House Bill HB 5139 (the Brandywine Bill) will amend the Food Law to allow leashed dogs at outdoor seating areas in restaurants/food service establishments around the state of Michigan.
This bill is no cost and participation is not mandatory. It simply gives resturants the option of having a dog friendly policy without penalty from the state. I think it's a great idea for helping make MI dog friendly.
I learned about this bill when I visited Kevin's Tavern on the River in Paw Paw, Michigan.  The bill was named after Brandywine, a dog that was found on the streets of Paw Paw.  Brandywine became a must hug addition to the Tavern until her death in 2008.  Kevin and his wonderful restaurant staff made my day when he allowed Loki and I to eat and enjoy his patio.  I love my dog Loki and I appreciate being able to bring him with me where ever I go. I want to do my part and help other dog lovers to be able to bring their pets with them when the eat out.
If you are a dog lover, please sign this petition.
