CLARK COUNTY DOGS DESERVE BETTER

J B Ogle Animal Shelter houses all of Clark County Indiana homeless dogs and cats. The City of Jeffersonville controls the shelter. All of Clark County citizens(Clarksville,Sellersburg,Charlestown,Utica)contribute tax dollars. Only Jeffersonville gets to a vote on city leaders that control the shelter. This is taxation without representation. Jeffersonville has a long history of animal abuse. The shelter should have a Board with authority to setup operation procedure and regulations. Made up of animal lovers, the Board would hire and fire. Employees and volunteers would report to the Board and not politicians. Politicians should not be allowed to make life and death decisions based on their political careers. We, the undersigned, respectfully request, Jeffersonville, Indiana politicians step aside and establish a board of directors made up of concerned citizens or give control to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
