Safe Reliable Electricity for Bainbridge Island

I/We are concerned about PSE's proposed project to build a new substation and miles of redundant high-voltage transmission lines in South and Central Bainbridge Island.

1. PSE's plans threaten the health of hundreds of school children and families through exposure to EMF.
   
2. PSE's plans will lead to the destruction of miles of old-growth trees and green space.
   
3. PSE's plans will drive down property values.
   
4. PSE's plans will negatively inpact the quality of life in our community.
   
5. PSE's goals can be achieved through any of several balanced, safe, and reliable alternative approaches.

We ask that a citizens committee be appointed to work with COBI and PSE to determine the best solutions for our island community.

COBI should not grant any permits to PSE until citizens have opportunity to evaluate the issues with transparency and democratic decision making opportunities.
