Give the Today Show Families a Break on Christmas

My children and I start our day with the Today Show. So it was out of habit more than anything, that I turned the TV on while unpacking the dishwasher last Christmas morning. I was surprized, then disappointed, to see that the show was still being broadcast live.

These broadcasters have families and young children whose Christmas morning celebrations are postponed because of viewers like us. Do Matt's children have to wait in bed until he gets home, before peeking to see if Santa has arrived? Can anyone even get to church that morning? What about the families of the production crew? I am proposing that the Today Show not broadcast live on Christmas and instead air a taped show this day. Give all the families a break to celebrate together.
