Hands Off Social Security

The Presidential Commission on Deficit Reduction may recommend deep cuts in Social Security and other social programs.

Social Security doesn't add to the Federal deficit.  In fact Social Security right now has a $2.3 trillion surplus.

There is no reason to cut benefits to seniors or to workers who are approaching retirement age.

We urge Congress and the President to oppose any efforts to cut Social Security benefits or other social programs.
