Hot Topic Waste

When clothing and other items are left unsold from clearances, they are destroyed and discarded by Hot Topic.  They refuse to give the clothes to a charitable organization.  This is unacceptable for a multitude of reasons, first and foremost for the environmental concerns created by not only the manufacturing of the clothing, but the energy and space used to dispose of the clothing.  Second, this is a slap in the face of those who are less fortunate and would benefit greatly from these otherwise landfill-bound items.  Last and least, the man hours wasted on the task of destroying clearance items would more than offset the perceived losses that Hot Topic fears from being undersold on discounted/clearance items.  Hot Topic and any other organization that operates in this manner should be boycotted until this ceases.
