I have Dementia, I also have a life

Dementia is caused by diseases of the brain, such as Alzheimer's. It can happen to anyone and there is currently no cure. But the more support you can give someone, the better life with dementia can be, especially in the early years.
Understanding Dementia

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Our vision is of a radically improved world for people with dementia.   world where they have their rights recognised, where they can fully contribute to family and community life and where they can live with dignity, free from discrimination.

A world where they, and those who care for them, have their needs fully met.

A world, ultimately, where dementia can be defeated.

There are many ways you can support and help us lead the fight against dementia. From making a monthly donation, signing up to one of our fundraising events, volunteering in your local area or getting involved in our campaigning issues.
We also have information for companies and trusts on how you can make a big difference to our work.
