Kill off the Orphan Works Bill

This Bill if passed would take away an artist or writers rights to their work unless they pay to protect them formally. The Bill is before Congress now and will make any work you let into the public domain usable by anyone including large corporations unless you have registered it with a private sector copyright registry.

We the undersigned take exception to the risks the Orphan Works Bill poses to the livelihood and rights of artists and writers. We urge a rethink of this proposed legislation to protect the rights of authors, artists and musicians not to detract from them.
