I want Wendy to keep her job. I am sorry that one child feelings were hurt. Class rooms are for teaching and i am tired all the bleeding hearts who want every child to has the same chances even when they are not equipped to do so. What about the handicap you are creating in the other children who must put up with the behavior issues of a few children. If a child can not keep up in a mainstream class they need to be removed and placed with like kids. Having the expectation of a teacher to daily have to adjust minute by minute her class to meet the needs of all children regardless of the childs ability is ignorant. Put children in with like kids so they can all learn and have specially trained teachers to teach children with special needs. I am tired of hearing from public school teachers and adm's that they cant do anything because you cant punish a child or use peer pressure to get the desired result. I am 45 and when i was in school you acted up you got in trouble period. Look around and you will see for the first time a generation that as a whole will not do as well as tere parents did. THey have no respect, have no self dicipline, and no desire to do better. When i was in school you wanted to do well because you did not want to be the one who failed a test or a spelling lesson and everyone know it. Now kids and spell write or use grammer, they cant count change or add with out the use of cash register or adding machine. Get your heads out of the sand and if you have one of the hard to teach or acting out children teach them at home this is not acceptable behavior or you the parent work with them and teach them that to succeed they will have to work harder.. In the work place no one will give them the extra time your late your late you cant do the job you will be fired.
If you agree and want this teacher to keep her job sign the petition.
