Monsanto began there company as a chemical plant from 1929 to 1995 where they made powerful herbicides called “weed bug”. This weed bug was from the herbicide 2,4,5-T also known as dioxin. Dioxin is a name for highly toxic chemicals that has been linked to health problems in humans. In 1997 International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization said the most powerful form of dioxin can cause cancer in humans. After many studies were made the government know classifys dioxin as a “known human carcinogen.” It does not end with cancer dioxin has been linked to heart disease, liver disease, human reproductive disorders, and developmental problems. The fact that health problems are developing from toxic chemicals should come to no surprise but the severity of these problems is what is shocking. We cannot ingest chemicals from genetically modified foods (GM Foods aka GMO's) and expect our bodies not to react or be damaged from. GMO's are now in 75% of food products. This is a petition to request GM foods are labeled that they contain GMO's.
