RECLAIM AND RE-USE

Its simple, everyday pounds upon pounds of paper are discarded into regular trash.

Its important to realize the impact of what we consider as 'trash', and start to recycle more. There are some good programs in place, but I feel more can be done.
I work at a manufacturing facility, in the office, the company does recycle cardboard, and in the past recycled paper waste. They do not do this anymore. It is a side project of mine, and have the receipts to prove it,but I collect the paper waste in from a majority of the office and take it to 'MAIN STREET FIBERS' located in Ontario, California. I have probably dropped off a TON or more of paper/mixed paper.
I am not doing this for the money, as the payout is $5 per ton of mixed paper in California.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH
Require companies to at least consider recycling their paper waste.
POSITIVE IMPACT
-Less waste goes to landfill.
-Less dependence on forest(s).
-Private services are created to collect such waste.
-Feel good that you are helping.
NEGATIVE IMPACT
-Energy spent on recycling paper can be quite significant.
-If state mandated, tax would be source of funding for program.

Thanks for reading.
BEFORE YOU THROW THAT IN THE TRASH CAN:
Consider recycling it. It does not require much effort to separate items. Honestly, I work in an office, and almost all the trash I find in the waste basket is paper, aluminum cans, or wrappers.
