Reclaiming Brock Hill HOA

We the residents of Brock Hills are requesting that the governing body including its president and all board of directors to resign their positions.  The basis of requesting your removal is as follows and represents a quorum of concerned community members:

We feel that governing body including HOA president and its board has clearly shown that collectively they don’t have member resident’s best interest at heart by not having the basic community relations attitude.  Under the current administration the President and its board of directors have allowed residents to be assessed legal fees.  The President and the board of directors’ knew that the financial system was faulty/deficient of capabilities to provide adequate financial transparency. In spite of that knowledge submitted resident names to the Attorney which subjected them to unnecessary legal fees.  Nor did the board follow its existing operating procedures by sending residents notification.

We felt that since Mrs. Fletcher knew of the inadequacies of the financial management in 2005 and [O1] the many erroneous notices she sent out to those that proved they made payment, she should have conducted more appropriate  community relations to resolve those that didn’t pay by whatever misunderstanding rather than just submit names.  We’ve found that almost all HOA’s give up to 3 notices/reminders (written) of due payments prior to sending it to an attorney, our residents were never afforded that many notices and when they sought understanding received no response other than the letter from the attorney at which point when the board and its president was contacted regarding the letter were told “It’s in the Attorney’s hands.”

In many instances the board had the authority to waive the legal fees for residents and refused to do so.  We feel her actions in such cases were not only unfair, but in a sense an act of malice.  And that such retaliatory tactics towards her neighbors for requesting transparency does not represent an ethical standard that enables community spirit.

This year the residents sought clarification to an inadequate financial report and submitted a certified letter to request a meeting to discuss and get such clarification.  The response to that request proved inadequacies at a greater level because it contradicted the initial letter as far as the reason for the increase dues.  The actions of the President and board has caused residents to lose good faith.

Due to all the many inconsistencies over the years the residents see a need to select a new President and new board members and rebuild our community spirit.

The following names represent a quorum of concerned residents that seek change immediately.
