Petition for NBC to Air Season 2 of The Listener
"The Listener" was a Canadian television drama that recently aired on NBC. Amidst doubts in its popularity, it was canceled. However, the popularity of the show boomed once the entire first season was posted on the website, Hulu.com. This show was just starting to take off and hit its stride and it was canceled prematurely and without careful consideration for the fan base it had created. If NBC has any desire to return to its top Prime Time network status, it should reverse its decision and air Season 2.
We the undersigned respectfully request that your network reconsider its decision to cancel the show entitled "The Listener". Despite having sporadic popularity in its first several episodes, it has grown exponentially in said popularity and, upon the publication of the final episode on your affiliate, Hulu, has created an uproar over its cancellation. If you read the comments in the show's page, you will find many have noted the increased quality in storyline as the season progressed. The season finale was one of the best any of us have seen in a television show and, seeing as the storyline was left unresolved, find it only fair to carry the show until its conclusion.
