SAVE THE MAJESTIC CANADA GOOSE

Thousands and thousands of Canada Geese in Oakland County, Michigan, will be rounded up and killed when the birds are molting and are unable to fly.
Killing programs have proven ineffective and counterproductive because they simply create a void for other geese to fill, whereas a well-designed, non-lethal goose abatement program, carried out in all sincerity and with humane intentions, will resolve any humane-goose conflicts Oakland County is experiencing. We the undersigned strongly oppose the lethal management of Canada geese and call upon the Board of Commissioners of Oakland County, Michigan, to abandon any round-up plan that results in the death of the geese and/or their goslings.
