Starbucks' Freedom of Choice

Starbucks has a history of supporting the legal carry of firearms by not turning away paying customers who carry, whether openly, or concealed. As a law abiding gun owner, and a Second Amendment supporter, I urge you to sign this petition to make Starbucks officials aware of our appreciation for their support. As private business owners, they have the right to turn us away, but have chosen to continue serving our needs.
Gun ownership is not criminal. Statistics show that lawful gun owners are  one of the least likely groups to commit any crime, let alone violent crime. In the United States, many people carry concealed to protect themselves, their families, and others from violence and crime. In many states the practice of open carry is a legal and legitimate form of carry. Starbucks has recognized that this particular group of citizens have shown themselves to be responsible individuals who go about their everyday activities just as the rest of society, although more prepared to defend themselves. They recognize that as a whole, we, as lawful gun owners, are polite and professional, and do not go out of our way to offend or frighten the general public, and we are thankful for the recognition.
An anti gun entity has begun a campaign to force Starbucks to stop allowing firearms on their premises, while acknowledging their private property rights to allow or deny gun owners service. It is an attempt to circumvent Starbucks' right to choose in the interest of furthering their own agenda. It is an attempt to take away their freedom of choice. Please sign this petition to show your appreciation for Starbucks' support, and their right to choose.  If you are a member, or an official, of an organization, please include the name of your organization in your signature.
