Statue of Paul Newman instead of Arnold Schwartzenneger!

Paul Newman is an Ohio native, extraordinary actor and director, who devoted time, creativity, money and thought to charitable work that continues to enrich and inspire us. His long and devoted marriage to Joanne Woodward is an example of marriage worthy of emulation. Since Newman died recently, it would be fitting to memorialize him.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian born bodybuilder who took steroids, starred in trivial movies, and had a mediocre role as governor of California and a reputation forever tarnished by his long affair with a domestic servant which produced an out of wedlock child. While the Arnold Classic may be a money-making enterprise, there is no good reason for his image to be perpetually present in our city.

And besides, Paul Newman is far more handsome. Who would you rather see every time you are at Vets' Memorial?
