Stop the wild wild west of the internet

We need our senators and congressmen to start dialogue on the wild, wild, west of the internet and to pass laws to protect the individual consumer from  everything from unscrupulous merchants, to fake email scams, to adults that contact minors over the internet for sexual engagement.  The problem is that the federal government does not provide adequate laws to protect the internet user and limits the individual states option%u2019s to do so. While there are no laws, there are companies that are making millions by ripping off consumers with no options to police them. Sexual predators are so numerous that individual states can%u2019t keep up, without more resources. I received in my e-mail  account, several scams each month and hear of people being taken for their hard earned money with no recourse and no proposals to stop them.
