petition to end ontarios ministry of transportation strike!
ontario drive test centers have been on strike for well over 2months now affecting many people in need of their licences as well as those employed either by the ministry of transportation and in partnerships with them. For most driving instructors road tests play a major role in their buissnuss which is usually there main source of income. the ministry is yet to resolve issues with the unionized employees of Serco DES Inc., resulting in lack of information about the resumption of services. this means those who wouldve had there licences by now are unsure when or if they'll get it , those who had to get there licences renewed wont have as much time or as much room for error when they do go for there road tests and that it'll be almost impossible to get a road test in time all due to the amount of people effected by the strike. Even after Serco employees agreed to go back to work the minister of transportation denied them that right .so please sign this and any other petition relating to it and help end the Serco drive test strike!
WE FEEL THAT BY GOING ON STRIKE FOR THIS LONG IS JUST PLAIN REDICULOUS AND INHUMANE. The ministry of transportation is supposed to be a government operated service and should be run like one instead of allowing it to create chaos. By allowing Serco DES Inc., to take over drive test centers the province of ontario has made a huge mistake and should end the strike immedietly. Too many house holds are suffering because of it espicially the ones consisting of single family incomes relying on either a driver or driving instruction to put food on the table. Many instructors rely on the ministries services in order to have students to teach , making it no road test = no student = no income leading to debt , closure of schools and possibly poverity if something dosent be done about it soon! The Canadian government offers benefits to those who take driving courses but we dont understand how you expect to premote safe driving practices and driver education if you allow services which are supposed to be government run to strike espicially for this long. On behalf of everyone being effected by the strike we are URGING YOU ,BEGGING YOU PLEASE END THE STRIKE before its too late ,
