Tell Dudley Do-Wrong to Quit Harassing Women!

The stories of harassment are rolling in, and it's starting to look like serving in the Canadian Mounties can be one of the most stressful jobs around--if you're a woman, that is. Several former female Canadian mounted police say their jobs became unbearable because of sexual harassment.

Krista Carle's story is particularly horrific. After a regime of harassment that culminated in assault, she is now coping with post-tramautic stress disorder. And her experience was far from unique. Carle knows at least six other women who have suffered harassment, she recently told the Canadian press. And others, still on the force, are afraid to come forward because of possible reprisals, Carle noted.

Tell the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to launch a full scale investigation and to forge a no-tolerance policy on harassment.

The life of any police officer is certainly dangerous and stressful enough without having to field ugly abuse from one's colleagues.

We the undersigned ask that you launch a full-scale investigation of sexual harassment within your force and that you write and publish a comprehensive no-tolerance policy on sexual harassment.
