Trade Minister Stockwell Day Against The Seal Product Ban.

The import ban on seal products in All 27 EU countries is expected to take place  in October.

This restriction applies to all products and processed goods dervived from seals. Including fur, meat, oil, blubber and even omega-3 pills made from seal oil.

The ban does exempt products from traditional hunts by the Inuit.

Trade Minister Stockwell Day is expected to  launch a challenge against this Ban through the World Trade Organization.
The consultation  is expected to last 60 days, if an agreement is not reached. The next step will be to request an official appeal, which will result in an court ruling ban.

Trade Minister Stockwell Day still feels all seal hunts are humane.
