PUMAs: Please Stand With Hillary To Help Obama Win
An open letter to all Hillary Clinton supporters who are considering voting for John McCain: please, please think again. We understand your frustration. But understand this: John McCain is no Hillary Clinton. Electing Barack Obama is the way to achieve Hillary's vision for America.
If you vote for John McCain, you can kiss your daughter's right to choose good-bye. If you vote for John McCain, be prepared to send your son to war. If you vote for John McCain, you will be voting against everything Hillary Clinton has worked for this entire election and her life.
Please, please, please PUMAs and undecided Hillary supporters - you may not like Barack Obama personally, but you do not have to like your candidate as a person. You have to like your candidate's policies. And if you supported Hillary, Barack Obama is the only candidate in this election who will stand for everything Hillary stands for - health care and education for all, reproductive freedom for women, a clean environment and a peaceful world. Hillary Clinton is standing with Obama this week in Denver - please join her!
We the undersigned respectfully urge you to stand with Hillary Clinton in supporting Barack Obama. We do not ask that you embrace Obama as you did Hillary - we simply ask that you recognize that Obama's platform will accomplish the same goals that Hillary supports, and together we can achieve the change that Hillary has fought for her entire life.
Hillary Clinton stands for reproductive rights for women, health care for all, quality education for our children, and a clean environment - and so does Barack Obama. But John McCain wants to overturn Roe v. Wade, remain in Iraq for an unspecified amount of time, and continue our same broken system of health care that benefits insurers and big corporations at the expense of individuals like you and me.
If you can accept this future, then you can vote for McCain. But if you value your rights and want the same future for your children that you knew Hillary would work hard to achieve, then please join Hillary and vote for Obama.
