A Japanese telecommunication giant (NTT-East) has maltreated its worker, Mitsugu Hosaka who needs to perform in-home care of his wife suffering from an intractable disease

Hosaka's wife was diagnosed as Spinocerebellar Degeneration (SCD), which was categorized as an intractable disease in a Japanese law, in 2002.

Since NTT-East has as many as nine offices near his home, he has requested it to transfer him to one of those offices so that he can see her in lunch break and/or go home easily.

However it transferred him to more distant locations. As a result, commuting time became doubled upto 60 minutes. He has been tied down those locations for more than 9 years.

Recently she was found to have cerebral infarction and dysphagia. Need for transfer is imminent.

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, a holding company of NTT-East, advocates corporate social responsibility such as work-life-balance.

Let NTT-East urge to follow work-life balance policy and relocate him to the nearest office to his home immediately.
