End prejudice against MS and other medical conditions

In Alberta, persons with Muscular Dystrophy and other medical conditions are not allowed to adopt children. This is blatant prejudice against an identifiable group of potentially great parents. Judging a person because they will die or be disabled is archaic and has no medical or scientific basis. Many disabled people who can naturally bear children are great parents! It is imperative that we change this biased and prejudicial mentality and allow the standard to be the same for all! If 2 people want to adopt and give a child a loving and nurturing home, and can provide the necessities of shelter, food, clothing and education, and medical care, they should be allowed to do it! We don't take children out of a home because one parent gets ill, why prevent people from taking these children out of the system and into loving homes where they will be nurtured, sheltered and protected.
