PAIGNTON ZOO, UK. - TIME FOR LONELY DUCHESS TO GO TO A SANCTUARY!

ELEPHANTS DON'T BELONG IN ZOO'S!

DUCHESS Is a Beautiful African Elephant, born in 1970. Duchess and Gay ( Asian) both arrived to the Paignton Zoo from Longleat Safari in 1977. In 2010 Gay was put to sleep because she had abscesses on her feet. "We tried a range of treatments and consulted any number of experts but it became clear that we had done everything we could for her and that there was no option but to put her to sleep."
Duchess has been alone since then. It would be cruel to bring in another innocent victim to live out their lives together. Duchess deserves to be moved to a Sanctuary, where she can be with other Elephants and have freedom to move about as she was intended.
Duchess was taken from the wild in Zimbabwe 46 years ago.
SHE HAS BEEN USED FOR HUMAN ENTERTAINMENT LONG ENOUGH!!!!

Zoos rob elephants of their most basic needs, including extended social relationships and the opportunity to walk long distances. Lack of exercise and long hours standing on hard surfaces are major contributors to foot problems and arthritis, the leading reasons why captive elephants are euthanized. Many die decades short of their expected lifespan.
We STRONGLY Urge The Paignton Zoo To Release Duchess Immediately to an accredited Sanctuary such as BORN FREE UK. or a Sanctuary BORN FREE Recommends.
PLEASE TAKE A STAND FOR DUCHESS...... We Are Her Voice!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SIGNING AND SHARING.....................
