Black Artists' Muse Hettie Anderson (1873-1938) Needs a Street Named for Her

Black artists' model Hettie Anderson (1873-1938) lived for decades at 698 Amsterdam Ave. in New York, after fleeing Jim Crow atrocities in her native South Carolina. Her block, West 94th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam, can be named for her if about 100 people sign this petition to be submitted to the local community board.
