There are no dog friendly beaches in Falmouth between Easter and the end of October. I think this is appalling. On a hot summers day the beach is perfect for a dog walk as they can play in the water and cool off if they get too hot. The beach is also a place most dog owners don't get to visit in the summer unless they travel out of Falmouth. There are many reasons behind why dogs are banned from certain beaches at certain times of the year, however to ban all the beaches in one town at the same time I feel is uncalled for. Castle Beach is a rocky beach inbetween Pendennis Castle and Glly Beach. This beach wouldn't be great to go sunbathing but would be perfect to take our beautiful dogs! Let's make Castle Beach dog friendly all year round! This will benifit the many dogs all over Falmouth, their owners and even the local businesses in the area. If we all pull together on this, we can make it happen!
