Designate a National Awareness Day for Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome! #DSPS

Are you a life-long night owl? It's possible that you may have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome (DSPS). This disorder wreaks havoc on the sufferer's sleep patterns. People with DSPS sleep the same amount of time as anyone else; they just have trouble sleeping during socially acceptable times. Sufferers have great difficulty falling asleep at night (despite their best efforts), and easily fall asleep during the day.

If you've ever been called lazy or undisciplined because of your sleep preferences, you may have DSPS. It's a little-known disorder, and I want to Congress to declare an official National DSPS Day to bring attention and awareness to it!
