Tell the Senate: NO public funds for Trump’s silly ballroom!

Within hours of an apparent assassin's failed attempt to breach this year's White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington, DC, Donald Trump's servile mouthpieces hit the airwaves with their latest script hot off the MAGA HQ press. One Trump lackey after another espoused in strangely similar language the dire need to build the president's garish ballroom, calling for all legal challenges halting construction to be permanently swept aside. And here we thought gun tragedies weren't supposed to be politicized…

Some Republicans, including South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, took things several steps further, announcing legislation to authorize $400 MILLION in taxpayer funds to pay for the president's vainglorious pet project. Remember how we were all repeatedly promised — by Trump himself — that private donors had agreed to foot the bloated bill for his gold-plated party palace? Yeah, no.

Tell the Senate: NO public funds for Trump's silly ballroom!

Like the border wall, the tariff crusade, and the ongoing debacle in Iran before it, Republicans now want to pass the ballroom buck to the American public, at a time when many of us our struggling to stay afloat as affordability goes the way of the dodo bird. Hard pass.
