Our beloved choir teacher, Oshadhee Satarasinghe, is having to leave the country in August of 2019 because her nine year education visa is up. All we need is a petition so that she could pay the state for a visa to stay longer, or for her education visa to be longer. Otherwise, she has to have an annual salary of 65k a year to be able to get a work permit but she’s doesn’t make that much. The school district tried talking to the college to raise her salary to 65k but they said no. The state told her that there were plenty of Americans that could take her place, but they all suck if we’re being honest. Mrs Satarasinghe is an excellent Choir teacher. Every year we have gotten a new choir teacher, but she has been the best one yet. Please help us by signing this petition.
