Changing the Name of George Wallace Drive - Troy, Alabama

George Wallace was one of the founding members of the KKK. He believed in segregation "now and forever." It is unacceptable for us to honor such a man with one of the main streets in Troy, Alabama named after him. The time to act is now and the time for change is now. I believe the city of Troy should change the name to honor two Troy University Legends that have gone on to do outstanding things. DeMarcus Ware and Leodis McKelvin were both selected in the 1st round of the NFL draft and were both the 11th overall pick. Sharing this bond of Troy University and being selected as the 11th pick, I believe we should honor them by renaming George Wallace Drive to "Ware McKelvin Drive."
