Ban the cruel bird markets of Paris

After reading about the wonderful 'bird markets' of Paris I decided to visit the popular one in Notre Dame. I was so saddened to see 100's of birds, from little canaries to chickens and ducks crammed into tiny cages. Some visibily sick, shking and scared.

I witnessed about 6 chickens crammed into a small dog crate. Beautiful parrots and birds of all species were in inadequate cages for the day and sold to customers irrisponsibily. I saw one man taking an african grey parrot away in a sealed plastic storage container.

If we can get some awareness and petitions, we can let the authorities and animal charities in Paris aware because so far there is no information on the net regarding the cruelty of this.
