Commute Compensation

We travel to and from work for a company or companies that don't have our best interest at heart. They want us to make promises and guarantees as employees that they would never live up to as bosses. These companies will fire you for being late a few minutes but do they accommodate your way to work? I understand that these companies pay their employees but for what? For coming to work on time or doing your job that you were hired to do in the first place? Some of us use public transportation which could be a drag depending on the times of day and weather situations. Some of us use our own personal vehicle to get to and from work. In the midst of our commute to work, anything could happen and the company you work for will hold you accountable for it. Well, since you need us at your company at specific times, we're going to need commute compensation. However long it takes or however many miles you have to travel to get to and from work, I believe we should be compensated. Those who drive their own vehicles to work have to worry about gas, wear and tear, toll fees and all types of stuff and the company they work for pays them just enough to pay bills. Those of us who use public transportation have to lose sleep or rush home to get it, worry about certain weather conditions, and out side predators who don't work but will take from a working person. And not to mention possibly arriving late to work because of a delay in the public transportation which you have 0 control over. Why not give us that incitive to help us save money to get further in life, or to ensure we will show up to your company on time to do the work effectively and efficiently?
