Tell Mississippi to let Andrea and Rebecca get married

Rebecca Bickett and Andrea Sanders are in love and want to do what many couples do: get married. So why is Mississippi denying them a marriage license?

Mississippi's outdated and discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act has outlawed legal marriages in that state. But federal judges have stricken down such laws as unconstitutional in many states. Now Bickett and Sanders are hoping that they can get Mississippi's DOMA struck down as well.

The United States Constitution promises freedom and respect in equal doses for all law-abiding Americans. Tell Judge Carlton Reeves of the United states Southern District Court to strike down Mississippi's anti-gay marriage law!

Dear Judge Carlton Reeves:

We the undersigned deplore Mississippi's so-called Defense of Marriage Act. The only marriages it is defending are those of straight couples. DOMA pointlessly  discriminates against other couples Rebecca Bickett and Andrea Sanders. The rights of gay people are guaranteed under the Constitution. Please strike down DOMA and allow Rebecca Bickett and Andrea Sanders to get married!
