Stop merle poodle breeding

Merle is not a naturally occurring color in poodles. It had to be introduced by another breed being bred into poodles but breeders are registering them fraudulently with AKC as purebreds.
Fraudulent registration is just the small problem as to why this is a problem. The merle gene causes debilitating health risks in poodles, blindness and deafness being top problems. Many times these poodles don’t present with the merle color pattern so we don’t know it’s hidden in their genes and we breed them more causing even more risks.
