Child-friendly not dog friendly

Following the news today that a 10 year-old boy was mauled to death on a caravan site in Looe, it is high time that the law changes with regards to dogs. Since when has our world made the sad decision to put dogs before children and their safety? Dogs are welcome everywhere now but not children. Even in parks and schools! Dogs are descendants of wild animals and are therefore totally unpredictable. My son was bitten by a dog last year in a child's play area. Now both children are scared to death of dogs . They can no longer go to nice child-friendly places like parks or beaches where dogs are now allowed to run freely and foul everywhere with thoughtless owners leaving it for children to tread in or play with in the sand. Our children's lives are being put at risk in preference of dogs.
