To only increase MPs pay by the same as the rise in the minimum wage

After the next election there will probably be another hike in MPs pay -which is rather handily set by a supposedly independent panel! Somehow I don't think anyone on the panel is on the average wage - let alone the minimum wage of just over £6 an hour. In order to keep our MPs in touch with the miniscule rises in the minimum wage their salaries should be linked to it.
