One recent evening a woman discovered what will end up haunting her for a long time: a sweet dog who had been
attacked with acid. The woman called the police and the animal was brought to a vet where it was euthanized due to the extreme trauma. What this means is even worse: there is an animal abuser out there is Newry Ireland that is possibly one of the cruelest abusers around.
Please sign the petition to help put pressure on the police to solve this case.So often, we find that police let animal abuse cases take a back seat. But even if you are heartless and don't care about animals, we know there is a strong
link between animal abuse and human abuse. Which means that animal abuse should be taken just as seriously given that it could easily escalate to humans.
The vet who received the poor K9 said that "In thirty years of practice, I have never seen anything like this. This is the worst case of animal cruelty I have ever come across." He also said that "I will take this case to my grave,". The sight of the dog brought staff to tears: it had apparently been doused in acid and then tried to lick the acid off so that not only was his skin melting off, his tongue was, too.
The only humane option for this animal was to end its life and end its pain. But this dog did not deserve to die this painful death.
Whoever attacked it with acid must be brough to justice and that's where you come in: will you sign the petition making sure the police make this case a top priority?
