COMMUNITY RADIO
Leandra and its neighbouring communities have elapsed decades by decades without a Community Radio. It has come to my attention that we as the community of leandra, we start something that will benefit not only our local community but neighbouring community and our local government.
Community radio gives community members access to information because it gives them access to the means of communication. The most relevant information-education and developmental-is disseminated and exchanged. Important issues are aired. A free market place of ideas and opinions is opened up and people are given the opportunity to express themselves socially, politically and culturally. Community radio helps to put the community in charge of their own affairs.
Community radio helps to put the community members in charge of their own affairs and inevitable result of the process of democratizing the communication system.
We have come -up with an initiative of stabilising our community-culturally, educational and political. We have secured all necessary gear to establish the proposed community radio.
