Employees Need Protection in the Bankruptcy Laws

Did you know that an employer is NOT legally bound to tell you that the company is going bankrupt? Did you know that the employer is NOT required to pay you any wages that you have earned before the bankruptcy is completed? How is this fair? How can the law protect a business owner that takes advantage of their employees? No, it's the employees that need protection. The employees that have worked unaware of the company's struggles. It's a fundamental right of an employee to get paid for hours worked. This is a change that needs to happen and happen now. In this day in age we all know someone who has worked for a company that has gone bankrupt or have been the owner of a company that has gone bankrupt. We MUST protect the workforce of America. Just imagine if the company that you work for goes bankrupt and you're informed that you will not be paid for the hours you've put in till that day. How angry would you be? Take that imagined anger and put it in your signature. Thank you.
