Eliminate the WEP (Windfall Elimination Provision) from the Social Security Formula

The Windfall Elimination Provision is an unfair provision when computing Social Security Benefits. It is unfair because workers paid into the system and should not have their benefits reduced because they are receiving a state pension. Some of my teaching employment was at a non-state supported school and required me to pay into Social Security. Since my state pension was already reduced by this employment, my Social Security should not be deducted as well. I also served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. That income (little as it was) also paid into Social Security. If one paid into Social Security, he/she should receive appropriate compensation from the system.
