"A man was arrested Thursday after Port Orange police officers responding to a call found a dog beaten to death.
"Brian Batson, 58, was arrested in Holly Hill and charged with aggravated animal cruelty, said Capt. Kimberly Kilpatrick.
"When officers responded to a Durant Drive residence the owner informed them that a 16-year-old rat terrier named Buddy Boy appeared to have been beaten to death in the yard overnight, Kilpatrick said.
""Officers examined the scene and the deceased dog, observing several abnormal injuries that are not consistent with a natural death," Kilpatrick said. "Officers did find blood and other evidence on the ground outside that was consistent with the injuries of Buddy Boy"," reported The News Journal.
Imagine how much poor Buddy Boy suffered...
All he wanted was to give Batson his love.
But Batson beat him...
Over and over...
And over and over...
Until he was dead.
People who do this to animals must be punished.
