Justice for Corey Pepper

After reading the article Durham Region News that reports the driver who killed a local young man in a preventable crash, has been aqquited of all criminal charges, has outraged the social media community, his large circle of friends and acquaintances and his heavy hearted family. The man who took Corey Peppers life on that Sunday afternoon of November 3,2014. Corey was a promoter for vehicle safety, a generous and responsible young man. Little did he know that ride to put his Mustang away for the season, would be his last. David Wilson, the driver of the Nissan pick up truck sped by not one sign warning of a stop sign ahead, but also the stop sign itself with a flashing red light atop to warn vehicles to slow down. This intersection of Concession 6 and Enfield Road in Clarington, is a two way stop, with Corey having the right away. David Wilson was in the midst of changing his clock for day light savings while speeding down a posted 70 area doing well over 90+. This is the perfect example of distracted driving cause death, vehicle manslaughter and negligence. Laura Bird, the judge in this case, aquitted David Wilson of all criminal charges because he claimed he didn’t see the sign. The defence claimed he couldn’t see the stop sign nor the warning sign prior to, not familiar with the area, yet lives 7 minutes down the road, and didn’t think he was speeding. And now he walks the streets of a free man who took away all hopes and dreams of a young man. The justice system has not served Corey or his family in the way the deserved. Please help me over rule this poor judgement and set presidence for all others who may become victim to a vehicle accident which could have been completely avoided if the other driver was paying attention to the road. #JusticeForCoreyPepper
