WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO SEE A BUDGET AND GET AN EXPLANATION FOR THE INCREASE IN OUR DUES. 100% OF HOMEOWNERS POLLED THINK THE INCREASE IS UNJUSTIFIED.
The undersigned members hereby petition the president and the board of directors of the Parks of Stonecrest Community Association to set the earliest reasonable date, time and place for a special membership meeting for the purpose of explaining and justifying the observed increase of our annual HOA dues as seen on our accounts at the website set up by the management company, and that notice be sent to the membership as provided for in Section 2.5 of our Bylaws..

A few people have asked me recently what is happening with the petition and the dues. They have not received the notification that many of us have received by email. I have posted on a website the only official response that I know of from the HOA. Here is a link to a copy of that response.

Please Pay your Annual Dues on time. In the Annual Meeting, it was stated that a large number of Homeowners are delinquent. This could result in them losing their right to vote on any issue and could prevent us from even getting a quorum for the Special Meeting. You can't vote against an increase if you can't vote. We need 20% of eligible voters to be present for a quorum. Do not lose your eligibility to vote. Delinquents lose access to common grounds (the pool, clubhouse, tennis courts.)

ANNUAL MEETING IS NOT THE SPECIAL MEETING
The Meeting at the Stonecrest Library on 12-19-2018 was an ANNUAL MEETING of the Parks of Stonecrest HOA. The number of homeowners there was about 100 even though many homes had 2 people present. There was no voting at this annual meeting!
The SPECIAL MEETING allows one vote per home. Only agenda item. THE INCREASE IN DUES. HOA has 30 days to call the Special Meeting. If you have withheld your dues or are delinquent, you lose the right to vote.

THE PETITIONS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED.
FEDEX SAYS THAT THE PETITIONS WERE DELIVERED TO THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTERED AGENT FOR THE H.O.A. ON 12-18-2018 AT 2:12 PM AND SIGNED FOR BY FRONT OFFICE PERSONNEL.

CONGRATULATIONS! AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH! With your key participation, we have reached our goal of greater than 67% member signatures. The percentage will be higher but since we reached the threshold, we will delay the final accrual count of unique signatures until we get the packages out to the HOA.
