"We Didn't Start the Fire" is a song by American musician Billy Joel. Its lyrics include brief, rapid-fire allusions to more than 100 headline events between 1949, the year of Joel's birth, and 1989, when the song was released on his album Storm Front.  It was a great historical overview and a call to action, but it's been over three decades since the song was released, and so much history has passed since that time. We need an updated version of the song for more recent history, because of we forget history we are doomed to repeat it, and who better than Billy Joel, who crafted the original amazing song, to offer us an updated version reminding us all of what has passed in recent history and what has led us to the place we are today?
